The-Great-Irish-Bake-Off-3

So I’ve been doing a bit of work for the last few weeks with TV3 and last night I was delighted with the launch the TV3 Great Irish Bake Off website, where you can get exclusive clips, images and gossip from behind the scenes and … drumroll…it’s mine design!

I was given free rain in TV3 to come up with a design and I was delighted with the results… above are my original designs and here is the link to the current site with a few tweaks… it’s all baker related and with a bit of a fun vibe, just the tone on the program itself.

The program went off with a bang last night and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series!

Loftus Hall is Calling…

Haven’t blogged here in a while between everything but did update work lately so that’s a bonus! (I’m patting myself on the back!) Anyway, the Loftus Hall brochures landed on my desk this morning and I had to post about them, I’m delighted with how they look.

They are designed to the Loftus branding and even have a treasure map inside with illustrations of all the hook’s attractions. I might just take another trip down myself!

Between my Ears…

Betwee my ears

This is a little something I’ve been working on (I think they call it a work in protest), which is taking ages, it consists of lots of little doddles and drawings, its all hand drawn (if you know what I mean, I know it has to get to the computer at some stage!)

Anyway I decided to upload a quick screen grab of it as I have just finished layering up and am happy with the results, plus I haven’t blogged in a while and am too lazy to explore the interweb for inspiration!

Get Your Books in Order…

So it’s that time of year and I am trying to sort out my expenses, my incomings, outgoings and toe throwing. Well forget the toe throwing, it was quite sore and I found out it had absolutely no impact on my books what so ever!!

I found this article today and think it will be of interest to anyone else who hasn’t a clue what to do with all the receipts and numbers.

Have a fill of Beans…

I saw this mans work on the internet and I knew I had to blog about him, it’s taken a while. I’d love to say that’s because I was jet setting with Brangelina, then stopped by Paris to visit Johnny and finally took at break at Buckingham Palace for a cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit (it was a little soggy, I’m not sure they’re biscuit fans) before returning to my computer. Unfortunately if I was to say that it’d be a blatant lie and who am I if not honest!

So Kyle Bean is his name and I don’t think there is anything he cannot do with cardboard. He’s from Brighton and works freelance on craft models, props and art direction. His clients include BBC, editorial illustrations for the New York Times Magazine and shop window displays for Selfridges, Liberty and Hermes.

I especially love his Laundry Day Video which you can find here

Visit his site KyleBean.co.uk to view his portfolio, its worth the trip!

Playschool…

Here’s some images of a job I am currently working on…

I’ve been hanging around with scalpel, ruler, sugar paper, sticky squares and prit stick for the past few days now and they’re great craic.

The truth is we actually have a history together, go way back. I was good friends with them for a while in playschool (except for scalpel of course, he was part of the cool crew, way too grown up for us). We fell out for a bit, I’m not sure what happened, but made up again in college and had a good few years of fun and frollicks. Then I don’t know we just drifted apart, except for the ruler we’ve always kept close contact, then a while back we all met up on a whim for a few drinks (scalpel is a little dangerous when he’s full) and that was it.

We’ve come full circle and are really enjoying our time together, creating and having fun. Who knows what the future holds for us but for the time being the crew have taken up refuge in my office. Had a bit of a panic last week, thought we had lost prit stick, her cap fell off and she was drying quick fast, but thanks to the clever thinking of sugar paper, a new cap was fastened and prit stick is back to her usual self. Phew!
